What is the Culture of Care?

Picture
Sometimes if you get up in the morning and your hair is a mess, you need a mirror to help out. The same can be said for organizational habits.

What you don’t notice, you can’t change.

Notice patterns of culture

When groups of people come together for whatever reason, there are certain associations that exist beneath the surface level of the explicit purpose of gathering.

Those associations quite often exist on different levels of influences often hidden from the participants.
With this series of workshops OpenArt gives organizations the tools for noticing, assessing and modifying group dynamics to enable conscious decision making rather than subliminal or latent bias.

Leadership Starts from Self

“One of the most effective ways to learn about oneself is by taking seriously the cultures of others. It forces you to pay attention to those details of life which differentiate them from you.”
― Edward T. Hall

What makes up the day to day actions within an organization is the individuals who take those actions.

OpenArt begins with the self and the perspective that each member brings.

The workshops give participants the opportunity to explore the unseen waters of tensions, bias, and personal qualities that can make the difference between a toxic workplace and an effective team

Needs. We all have them and OpenArt begins with how needs of the individual affects the needs in relationships which affects the needs of your organization.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility is part of the way in which we can measure how needs are being met. With this training, you can earn how to make sure that the personal, social and group body is taken care of  to maintain a healthy organisation.

Maintaining Healthy Practices

Picture
Healthy practices are proven not only to improve performance and adaptability but also to improve the health of the individuals within the group.

But HOW?

Intentional Action

Picture
“The only way to reduce ugliness in the world is to reduce it in yourself,”

― Bayard Rustin

It is not that decisions or actions as a group are wrong or bad, it is not having a scientific method for measuring that can discern those actions that can make things difficult.

As a part of the series of workshops, participants will develop:

  • Ways to respond rather than react
  • Ways of listening actively
  • Noticing unhealthy patterns
  • Building on already-existing healthy patterns
  • Identifying actions that encourage Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility
OpenArt’s unique Psycho-somatic programming brings a custom built program to each group it deals with because we believe in unity, not uniformity, individuality, not individualism.

If your are able to bring awareness to the needs of your own person, then you are better able to connect with others needs.

From there you can have a healthy organization taking care, giving care, living care.
